What a beautiful day! I spent most of the day preparing for my trip to Greece. Then I visited the Hamov / Hamova family for a delicious Christmas Eve dinner. Traditionally it is a vegetarian meal (Orthodox Christians follow a vegetarian diet 40 days prior to Christmas Day). Then on Christmas day there is a feast with family and friends including fresh pork. However, early on the 25th I headed to Sofia to begin my travel adventure.
I am blessed by this family's friendship, kindness and generosity. Thank you for all you share with me.
